NBA NEWSLETTER

In response to our members preferences from the survey, more networking events in and around the Industrial Estate of Noosaville are in progress. Located in the Noosaville Industrial Estate is a thriving community of businesses. This area is a key part of the Noosa economy being the largest Industrial Estate in the shire and retail sector including Noosa Civic Shopping Centre.

While the tourism industry provides the essential spine for the local community, the opportunity for local businesses to leverage off the Noosa ‘brand’ should not be underestimated.

The Noosaville Business Association is currently developing a series of Industrial Business Networking Breakfast Events that will benefit the businesses that are operating in the Industrial Estate as well as our current members. More will be announced soon.

The NBA Committee encourage members to submit ongoing feedback, ideas and suggestions. Input from our members is important so we can help provide support and promote the local businesses here in Noosaville.

Noosa Van Lines is truly a local success story.

37 years as a locally owned business and getting bigger and stronger all the time.

After starting with one truck back in 1981, Noosa Van Lines now operates a fleet of 14 vehicles with a team of 22, all employed locally in Noosa.

We offer exceptional personalised Removals and Storage services covering the Sunshine Coast and interstate, with weekly services to Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney as well as regular services to and from North Queensland.

Our team are highly professional, renowned for their expertise, friendliness and care.

We can handle a single item of furniture up to the biggest household. If you need to store your goods in between moving out and moving in we can take care of that too, with NO DOUBLE HANDLING. We operate with the latest in containerisation which means your goods are only handled once in and once out.

The key to our approach is that we build care into everything we do…which is only possible if every team member cares about what they do and how they do it. Care in our planning, care in our set up, care in our communication, care for our people, care for our trucks and equipment, care for our reputation and integrity AND importantly care for our customers and their belongings and our place within our community.

To us care is not a promise, it’s a given…something that we continually work hard at.

The 2018 Noosa Rainbow River Festival was a great success with partygoers celebrating the weekend of festivities by kicking off with welcome cocktails by the river followed by Melony’s Bar Hop along Noosa’s famous Gympie Terrace, hosted by Noosa’s favourite drag queen, Melony Brests. Saturday featured the Festival Extravaganza, showcasing the Powderpuff Girls and guest band Flashback. Wrapping up on the Sunday with the highlight of the weekend, the family-friendly River Parade and picnic, led by the fabulous Rainbow Party Boat. The Festival had something for everyone – from a family-friendly, BYO riverside picnic, through to a party with a band and live drag performances. The whole Noosa community was invited to join in along the Noosa River for the famous annual River Parade.

Last chance to get tickets! The NBA are proudly supporting this fundraiser and would like to invite members to purchase a ticket or even better, a table.

The Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club is holding a fundraising sportsman’s lunch on Thursday April 19th. The fundraiser is to support Sailability Noosa. What is Sailability Noosa you may ask? Sailability Noosa provides a sailing opportunity for people of all ages and with all types and levels of disability in order to bring joy, encourage development and the pursuit of new skills, and provide a broader life experience. Our clients come from various Disability Service Organisations or as private individuals, and they are normally accompanied by a carer who has responsibility for their welfare ashore. The program also relies on community minded volunteers who assist with the organisation and care of the clients while they prepare for their activity.

The Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club is proud to be able to offer this program to the community however it does come with a sizeable financial investment and this is where your support can greatly assist the club in offsetting a proportion of this.  The attachment will give you the details of the sportsman’s lunch fundraiser that will go a long way to keeping this very worthy cause operational. We are seeking your support through purchasing of tickets for this event, through a donation of an item for auctioning on the day, or even both. Please contact Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club.
